The IMA Recreation Association offers an instructional baseball program, Badges for Baseball, in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Flint. The program is also supported by the Flint Police Department, City of Flint, Sheldon Neely, Flint City Council, and the Fraternal Order of Police. Children ages 7 through 12 are encouraged to participate in this FREE program! After an initial Boys and Girls Club membership form is filled out by a parent or guardian, all youth must sign in daily. All equipment and lunch for participants is provided. Following lunch participants will review a Healthy Habits lesson and practice the fundamental baseball skills. All program participants that complete six sessions will receive a Major League Baseball hat and shirt. Two participants will be selected to attend a special camp hosted by Cal and Billy Ripkin.
