IMA Greater Flint Baseball/Softball Commission

The IMA Recreation Association has rejuvinated baseball in Flint by establishing the IMA Greater Flint Area Baseball/Softball Commission. The Commission provides organized baseball and softball programs for kids and adults throughout Genesee County.

The Commission oversees the CBL (City Baseball League) Class A East and West for adults ages 18 and over. CBL East plays at Whaley Park on the corner of Richfield Road and N. Franklin Avenue in Flint. CBL West plays at Broome Park on Hammerberg Road north of Atherton Road in Flint. In 2007 there were 6 teams in the West division and 7 teams in the East division.

Signups start in February with the season beginning the Tuesday after Memorial Day and playing through early August on Monday through Friday nights. All teams are AABC (American Amateur Baseball Congress) registered.

40 and Over Baseball plays at Broome Park in Flint. Teams play from mid-August through mid-October Monday through Thursday nights.
